Sanjoy to perform at SAFF Championship opening ceremony in Bangladesh

Bangladeshi-origin American DJ and music producer Sanjoy Deb, known professionally as Sanjoy, will perform at the opening ceremony of the TECNO SAFF Championship Bangladesh 2026 on November 5, bringing his music to the tournament’s launch in Bangladesh.

Sanjoy announced his participation in a video message, saying he was looking forward to performing in front of an audience in his home country. He previously performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Toronto.

“Performing on the FIFA stage was a special moment for me. But performing in front of the people of my own country is a completely different feeling. I am looking forward to sharing that joy and excitement with everyone at the TECNO SAFF Championship. Many thanks to TECNO for giving me the opportunity to come to Bangladesh,” he said.

Rezwanul Hoque, chief executive officer of iSmartu Technology BD Limited, said the company was pleased to bring the musician to Bangladesh.

“Sanjoy has taken his music to the global stage while maintaining his connection with his roots. We are delighted to bring him to Bangladesh for the TECNO SAFF Championship,” he said.

The tournament will run from November 5 to 17, with national teams from across South Asia competing.
