Tania Brishty returns to acting after nine months
Actress Tania Brishty has returned to acting after a nine-month break due to health complications, taking the lead role in Ongshidar, a drama written and directed by Iqsan Rony.
Filming for the drama has recently been completed. It follows a woman’s struggle to establish her rightful claim to family property, highlighting the challenges women face in securing their inheritance.
“I am immensely grateful to Almighty Allah that I have recovered to some extent and can return to my professional work. It feels good to be back in the world I have always known,” Tania said.
She added that her health condition had once made her uncertain about returning to acting, but the love and support of well-wishers encouraged her to resume work.
“I missed acting terribly,” she said.
The drama also features veteran actors Dolly Zahur and Fazlur Rahman Babu, among others. Ongshidar is expected to air on a television channel and YouTube soon.
Tania was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February this year and has been undergoing treatment since then. She is currently following her doctor’s advice.
