Sadek Sabbir to serve on Rio WebFest technical jury

Bangladeshi media professional Sadek Sabbir has been invited to serve on the Technical Jury of Rio WebFest 2026, an international festival celebrating web-based productions and digital storytelling.

The invitation will see Sabbir help evaluate digital productions from around the world as part of the festival’s 2026 edition.

The festival is expected to feature approximately 300 selected entries competing across more than 80 categories. It recognises achievements in web series and other digital productions, with winners receiving its official award, the Zé Trophy.

Jury members will assess entries in designated categories through an online evaluation process. Each juror will review a curated selection of content, with the assessment process expected to be completed within 20 days. Evaluation materials are scheduled to be distributed in early November.

Rio WebFest has established itself as an international platform for independent digital creators, bringing together filmmakers, producers and professionals working across the evolving landscape of online entertainment.
