Yamal’s little brother Keyne wins hearts during World Cup celebrations

Lamine Yamal became a World Cup winner on Sunday at just 19 years of age, however, it was his three-year-old brother Keyne who stole the spotlight after Spain's 1-0 win over Argentina in the final in New Jersey.

Keyne has become an internet sensation around the world during the World Cup, with his enthusiastic celebrations and theatrics from the stands.

He was at it again in the final, sticking his tongue out when he saw himself on the big screen – just like he had promised to Lamine before the final.

“I was at physio and he called me, using my mum’s phone, and told me that he was going to stick his tongue out tomorrow [in the final]. So that’s why when I saw him on the screen, it really made me laugh,” Lamine said after the final.

Keyne, in a Spain shirt bearing his own name, sprinted round the MetLife Stadium pitch. Yamal hoisted his half-brother into the air and placed a "Lamine" cap on his head.

The toddler danced beside a giant World Cup replica and grabbed the real trophy. He later bumped fists with Yamal, cradled a football, and swapped hats with a New Jersey state trooper.

Keyne, dubbed "the star of the World Cup" in Spain, has been a regular fixture at the tournament.

Born in September 2022 to Yamal's mother, Sheila Ebana, Keyne is Lamine’s half-brother.
