Rajshahi Stars leave for Malaysia for AFC Women's Champions League

Bangladesh women's club champions Rajshahi Stars departed for Malaysia this morning to take part in the AFC Women's Champions League, hoping to make a successful debut in the competition.

The preliminary stage of the AFC Women's Champions League will be held in Malaysia from August 17 to 23.

Drawn in Group A, Rajshahi Stars will face India's East Bengal, hosts Sabah FA and Guam's Rovers FC.

Earlier on Friday, Rajshahi Stars head coach Golam Robbani Choton and captain Sheuli Azim expressed their hope of doing well in the competition.

Head coach Golam Robbani Choton said the focus during the training session was on the players' preparation and performance, and he hoped his players would give their best in every match.

Team captain Sheuli Azim said every player shared the same goal - to perform well on the field and help the team achieve success.
