Bangladesh land tough group with Portugal and Wales at U15 World Cup

Bangladesh have been placed in a demanding Group G at the FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival 2026, set to be held in Azerbaijan, facing Portugal and Wales among their five group-stage opponents.

The tournament will feature 191 nations divided into 32 groups, with Bangladesh's youngsters also drawn against Indonesia, Burundi and Fiji in what promises to be a challenging campaign for the age-group side.

Bangladesh face an unusually packed schedule, playing all five group matches inside just three days once the tournament gets underway in October.

Their campaign opens against Wales at 9am on 24 October, before a demanding double header the following day sees them take on Portugal at 2:30pm and Indonesia at 8:45pm on 25 October.

The final two group fixtures follow on 26 October, with Bangladesh facing Burundi at 2:30pm and closing their group stage against Fiji at 8:45pm the same evening.
