4 more children die with measles symptoms

Four more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms to 1,108 since March 15.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.

According to the release, 1,221 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the total number of suspected cases reached 191,731 between March 15 and September 30.

A total of 128 confirmed measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, the number of confirmed cases has reached 21,520.

From March 15 to September 30, a total of 169,800 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals, while 162,873 recovered patients were discharged during the same period.

Four children died of suspected measles in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from suspected measles to 1,007 since March 15.

No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 101 people have died from confirmed measles.
