High Court orders republishing of 43rd BCS non-cadre exams
The High Court on Thursday ordered the republication of the recruitment results for the 43rd BCS non-cadre positions within 60 days.
A High Court bench comprising Shashanka Shekhar Sarkar and Urmi Rahman said the recruitment process lacked transparency.
Barrister Humayun Kabir Pallab argued the case on behalf of the petitioners.
While speaking to the reporters, Humayun said the court observed that the 43rd BCS non-cadre recruitment process had not been conducted in accordance with the law.
“The court found a lack of transparency in the recruitment activities and concluded that the entire process had been completed in violation of legal requirements,” he said.
The court therefore directed the authorities to conduct the non-cadre recruitment process again in a transparent manner and publish a merit list within the next 60 days.
More than 450 applicants filed a writ petition in the High Court two years ago challenging the recruitment process for the 43rd BCS non-cadre positions, and around 300 applicants joined them later.
In 2024, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission appointed 642 candidates to 43rd BCS non-cadre posts.
