IAPB chief meets PM, discusses eye care cooperation

Peter Holland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in improving eye care services in Bangladesh.

The meeting was held at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat at around 11:30am, according to the Prime Minister's Press Wing.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of eye care services in Bangladesh, the prevention of blindness, efforts to reduce visual impairment, and enhanced cooperation in the sector.

State Minister for Health Dr MA Muhit was also present at the meeting.
