Habiganj JCD president among 11 get bail in case over attack on NCP leaders

A Habiganj court on Sunday granted bail to 11 leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), including its district unit President Rajib Ahmed Ringon, in a case filed over an alleged attack on the convoy of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in the district.

Habiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Abdul Mannan passed the order on bonds of Taka 10,000 each when the accused surrendered before the court in the morning.

According to the case statement, the motorcade of NCP leaders came under attack on July 28, when 15 leaders and activists, including Chief Organiser for Northern Region Sarjis Alam, were injured.

Tanmoy Taher Rubel, convener of the district unit of Jubo Shakti, filed the case at Sadar Police Station.
