The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 484 people in different parts of the capital during regular anti-crime operations in the last 24 hours.

A total of 58 cases were filed during the period, according to a DMP press release today.

Of those arrested, 43 were detained by Ramna Division, 33 by Lalbagh Division, 71 by Wari Division, 56 by Motijheel Division, 50 by Tejgaon Division, 124 by Mirpur Division, 55 by Gulshan Division, 48 by Uttara Division, three by Detective Branch and one by the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit.

Police also recovered a motorcycle, five mobile phones, two gas lighters, six pieces of foil paper, Tk 2,500 in cash, five cocktail-like objects, 6.2 kg of cannabis, 6,956 yaba tablets and 30 bottles of Eskaf syrup (phensedyl) from their possession.

Legal action against the arrestees is underway.
