Mild earthquake shakes Narsingdi

A mild earthquake jolted Narsingdi and its adjoining areas early Monday.

The tremor, measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale, struck at 5:32am, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The epicentre was in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi, about 47 kilometres northeast of Dhaka, the BMD said.

No casualties or damage were reported immediately.
