In reply, opener Shadman Islam departed for 20, top-edging a Mitchell Starc delivery to Nathan Lyon.
The experienced Mominul Haque and Tanzid then formed an unbroken …-run stand for the second wicket as Bangladesh ended the day on the driving seat.
Mominul and Tanzid are unbeaten on 35 and 32 respectively as the visitors ended the day trailing by 102 runs.
