Harry Styles paid tribute to his late One Direction bandmate Liam Payne by performing an unreleased song, titled What Is Enough, during a sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday, October 16, marking two years since Payne’s death.

The 32-year-old singer performed the acoustic song as part of his ongoing Together, Together tour, dedicating the moment to his former bandmate on the second anniversary of his death.

Addressing the audience, Styles spoke about the significance of the New York venue before reflecting on the loss of his friend.

“I feel incredibly lucky to get to play these shows here in New York, and this building means a lot to me… And two years ago today, I lost one of those friends… I’m sure a lot of you have been through similar things. I hope you haven’t,” he said.

The unreleased song, What Is Enough, was performed acoustically during the concert, offering a personal tribute to Payne.

Payne, who rose to international fame alongside Styles as a member of One Direction, died in October 2024. Styles’ performance on the anniversary brought the loss of his former bandmate into focus during his New York show.
