Veteran Bangladeshi actress Dilara Zaman is returning to music videos after a three-decade hiatus, appearing in the upcoming video for Maa, a song performed by SI Sumon, scheduled for release on the singer’s official YouTube channel on October 27.

Directed by Foisal Agun, the music video centres on Dilara Zaman’s character and also features SI Sumon, actress Farzana Boby and Mikail. Helal Chowdhury has written the song, while SI Sumon composed the music.

Maa explores a mother’s unconditional love, sacrifices and affection, highlighting her role in shaping her child’s life.

Speaking about the song, SI Sumon said, “Many of us fail to realise what a blessing a mother is in a child’s life. Those who have lost their mothers truly understand that pain. Through this song, we have tried to portray the bond of love between a mother and her child.”

SI Sumon has previously received appreciation for songs including Shopne Dekha Ochinpure, Ke Ache Tumi Chhara Bolo and Boka Manush.
