Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled a new poster for his upcoming film King, featuring the actor walking through fire with a rose in his mouth and a gun in his hand, ahead of the film’s theatrical release on December 24.
Sharing the poster on Instagram on 27 October, the actor referred to himself as a lover rather than a killer, echoing the title track of his 1999 film Baadshah.
The title of King was announced on November 2, 2025, coinciding with Shah Rukh’s 60th birthday. Its first glimpse featured the actor in a silver-haired look, accompanied by a dialogue.
The makers announced the film’s release date in January this year.
During a recent AskSRK session, Shah Rukh also addressed fans’ questions about the film’s trailer. Responding to a fan who asked why it was taking so long, the actor said the team was working to create something worthy of the film. His response suggested that fans would see the material before the 24 December release.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King stars Shah Rukh in the lead role and marks his second collaboration with the filmmaker after Pathaan (2023).
The cast also includes Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and Saurabh Shukla, among others.
The film marks Shah Rukh’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter, Suhana, who made her acting debut in The Archies in 2023.
King is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 24.
