After Alisson Becker, Casemiro and Matheus Cunha, another member of the Brazil team midfielder Bruno Guimaraes acknowledged Bangladeshi Selecao fans ahead of their Round of 16 match against Norway.

“We know that the national team represents a lot, we've received some videos of the celebrations in Brazil and Bangladesh, which gives us a lot of confidence,” Bruno was quoted as saying by Brazilian outlet Globo during the pre-match press conference before the Round of 16 match against Norway.

The Newcastle United player also said the players have gotten together and recorded a thank you video for Bangladesh fans.

“We even got together with some players and sent them a video thanking them,” he said, although the video is yet to hit social media.

Bruno has been one of the key players for Brazil so far in the World Cup, holding together Brazil’s midfield and providing moments of inspiration, like his late assist to Gabriel Martinelli in the 2-1 win over Japan.

“I’ve been performing very well in what the coach has been asking of me. I've been excelling in assists, but my football isn't just about that.

“It's about getting the ball to the other players so they can create chances, score, and be willing to run a lot, which is what I've been doing even in this heat. Tomorrow [Monday] we have an important step in our journey,” he said.
