President Joan Laporta says FC Barcelona has set their sights on a quadruple this season, with the club sitting on five wins from five as the domestic campaign gets underway.

"This year our objectives are to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa, and the Champions League, always keeping the team spirit in mind. Focusing on that will lead us to win titles," the Barcelona president said.

Laporta pointed to the depth within Hansi Flick's squad as a reason for his confidence, crediting the club's sporting director for the work behind the scenes.

"We have a very competitive, well-balanced squad. Deco has done very well; everyone has to be very attentive. There is a lot of quality, and we can make two very competitive teams; everyone must be very alert; there is no room for relaxation."

He singled out teenage forward Lamine Yamal for special praise, holding up the winger's attitude as a model for the rest of the squad to follow.

"What Lamine says at 19 years old is very commendable; his maturity is sensational. It illustrates that the team must not relax and go for it all."

Despite the perfect start, Laporta was careful to temper expectations, insisting the club's early form counts for little at this stage of the season.

"We must keep our feet on the ground, this is just the beginning."

The Barcelona president closed by stressing that sustaining the current level of performance, rather than the results themselves, would determine how far the club goes this season.

"We hope we continue like this, with a high level of performance and great commitment, and to win this year we have to run. The commitment of the team and the club is a great example of this."
