Bangladesh's football squad ahead of the FIFA ASEAN Cup is now complete in Jakarta, with expatriate players Farhaan Ali Wahid and Shamit Shome finally linking up with the group, joining star midfielder Hamza Chowdhury who had already arrived.

Farhaan, earning his first ever call up to the national side, touched down late on Monday night, while Shamit's arrival was delayed by a typhoon disrupting his connecting flight in Japan, eventually landing in Jakarta at 11am on Tuesday.

Midfielder Sohel Rana, who had initially been unable to travel with the rest of the squad due to visa complications, also reached the capital around the same time, adding further depth to Bangladesh's options in midfield ahead of the tournament.

Despite the relief of having every player finally present, preparations did not begin smoothly, with Monday's scheduled training session cancelled entirely after the squad became stuck in Jakarta's notoriously heavy traffic on their way to the venue.

With the full group now training together for the first time, head coach Thomas Dooley will have far greater scope to sharpen his tactical plans ahead of Bangladesh's opening fixture, having previously worked with an incomplete squad throughout much of the buildup.

Bangladesh open their FIFA ASEAN Cup campaign against Malaysia on September 25, before facing Singapore on September 28 and hosts Indonesia in their final group match on October 1. All three fixtures will be played at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
