Three more clubs in Spain’s top division have joined an agreement to cap away ticket prices at a maximum of €30 ($34), a LaLiga spokesperson told Reuters on Thursday, bringing the total number of participating clubs to 17 out of 20.
LaLiga is strengthening the reciprocal agreement between clubs as AC Milan fans boycott their visit to Udinese over away ticket prices of €65 ($73).
The agreement, which has been in place since the 2023–24 season, also guarantees that at least 300 tickets are made available to travelling fans. According to LaLiga data, away ticket sales have increased by an average of 33% per game.
England’s Premier League has a £30 ($40) cap on away tickets, while Germany’s Bundesliga guarantees away fans 10% of available stadium capacity, with ticket prices matching those for home supporters.
UEFA regulations require 5% of stadium capacity to be allocated to away fans in the Champions League, with ticket prices capped at €50 ($56.20).
The LaLiga spokesperson did not name the three additional Spanish clubs that have joined the price-cap scheme.
