‘Sheikh Hasina would be executed immediately if she returned to Bangladesh:’ Nasiruddin Patwari

Staff Correspondent

National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari has said that if former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns to Bangladesh, her execution would be carried out "without a second's delay."

He made the remarks on Monday afternoon while addressing an NCP rally under its "July Awakening to Build the Nation" campaign in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj.

Patwari said, "There are still many pro-Mujib groups and media personalities in Bangladesh who dream that their 'Apa' will return in December. But where will Apa return? She left by helicopter. There is no place left for her in Bangladesh."

He continued, "Wherever she lands, the people will seize her and carry out her execution. Preparations have been made across thousands of places in Bangladesh. Just as we slaughter cattle during Eid-ul-Adha, similar preparations have been made for Sheikh Hasina. Wherever she lands, her execution will be carried out immediately. Not even a second's delay will be allowed."

Addressing party leaders and activists at the rally, Patwari also spoke on various political issues and called for the successful implementation of the NCP's programme.

Also present at the rally were NCP Northern Region Chief Coordinator Sarjis Alam, Joint Convener Dr Atik Mujahid, Organising Secretary Ikram Hossain, Faisal Prince, and district- and upazila-level party leaders.
