Dhallywood actress Misty Zannat has confirmed that she is married, ending months of speculation after she added a “Got Married” life event to her Facebook account.

The actress later confirmed the marriage in an interview, but declined to disclose her husband’s name or other personal details.

Misty said her husband is a businessman who also has some involvement with the media. She confirmed that the marriage took place in Bangladesh, but did not reveal the date, venue or her husband’s identity.

When asked about the details, Misty said she could not disclose the information, adding that revealing everything at once would leave no suspense.

Rumours had previously linked Misty with actor Shakib Khan, with some even suggesting that the two had married. She made it clear that those reports were untrue.

Asked whether her marriage was arranged or based on love, Misty said she had married for love. However, she did not disclose when the relationship began or when the marriage took place.

The actress also said she does not intend to keep her husband hidden from the public. She plans to introduce him at the right time and jokingly mentioned the possibility of arranging an event in Italy.

According to Misty, the marriage was not a sudden decision. She said they had married some time ago but had kept the matter private.

She also explained that repeated questions and unwanted approaches about her personal life had contributed to her decision to disclose the marriage.

Misty said people had repeatedly called her, asked to meet her, proposed meetings abroad and made romantic proposals. She said people should not assume they can call an actress at any time and ask to meet her.

Misty Zannat and Shakib Khan have previously drawn attention for their relationship and on-screen chemistry. Rumours had even suggested that Misty could become Shakib Khan’s third wife. However, she said she had no desire to become his wife.

The actress also declined to discuss her honeymoon.

Speaking about her married life, Misty said that although she is married, she has not yet fully begun her married life. She said she is currently living in her own way and asked everyone to pray that she can build a happy family life in the future.

Besides acting, Misty is a dentist by profession. She runs her own dental clinic and regularly sees patients.

She is also involved in business activities. While she does not act regularly, she continues to selectively work in television dramas and web content.
