Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Neymar is fit and available for their third and final Group C match against Scotland set to take place on Thursday.

The Brazil coach said Neymar has trained well this week and is ready to play his first minutes of the tournament.

“Neymar is available. He worked well this week and prepared well for the match,” Ancelotti told reporters in the pre-match press conference.

“He can play 90 minutes. He is doing well, trained well and I’m very happy with him,” Ancelotti added.

Ancelotti also praised Neymar’s attitude in recent weeks and his support for his teammates.

“He knows his teammates very well, works seriously and brings experience and knowledge of the game,” he said.

Brazil face Scotland in Miami, with Ancelotti expecting a difficult match against a physically strong opponent.

He described Scotland as an organised team that plays with a clear strategy, using long passes and crosses to create chances.

“They are a physically strong team with a very clear strategy. They usually play a 4-4-2, with many long passes, and look to create chances through numerous crosses. It’s a match we need to control in that aspect.”

Ancelotti said Brazil must maintain the intensity and quality they showed in the first half against Haiti.

“We have to try to repeat the first half against Haiti, have intensity on the ball, be accurate with our passing and avoid mistakes. That’s the line we must follow. The team is improving in training and I trust we’ll continue to improve.”

The coach also confirmed that Brazil have decided who will replace the suspended Raphinha but did not reveal the name.

With Raphinha nursing a hamstring injury, Ancelotti said Rayan, who came onto replace the Barcelona right winger against Haiti, will most likely start against Scotland.

“Rayan, when he came on to replace Raphinha, played a good match; Rayan has a lot of potential in that aspect. I have other players who can adapt to this system, but if we have width, Rayan can do it.”
