Three children with measles symptoms and one with confirmed measles died across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms to 991 since March 15.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said this in a press release issued by its control room on Saturday.
It said 843 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 163,105 from March 15 to September 5.
Since March 15, a total of 74 confirmed measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 19,641.
A total of 143,214 suspected measles patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country from March 15 to September 5. During the period, 137,921 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospitals.
In the last 24 hours, three children died from suspected measles while a total of 891 children have died from suspected measles since March 15.
One child died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 100 people have died from confirmed measles.
